Siiri Perämäki from University of Jyväskylä will demonstrate to us how circular economy works in batteries of end-of-life electric scooters and bikes.
A 45-minute presentation agenda:

The UC-Mobility project will provide innovative technological solutions to recover critical raw materials from the micro-e-mobility waste fractions, e.g. used e-bikes and e-scooters. We will recover metals such as Co, Ni, Cu and REEs like Nd using the novel 3D-printed scavenger technology developed at University of Jyväskylä. This technology will provide the capabilities to selectively separate the critical metals of interest and of high commercial value. We will also investigate the life cycle impacts of the developed technology in collaboration with the Finnish Environment Institute.
The event is organized by the Treasource EU Horizon and UC-Mobility projects in collaboration with SIX valmistusklubi and Six Power.
